    There are literally hundreds of government programs available to consumers that most individuals are not even aware exist. The following is a list of sites that can be searched either by state or federal government for a number of different assistance programs. Most of the sites listed here resemble a search engine design, just enter in what your needs are, and they will provide a list of programs and how to see if you qualify.

Nutrition Services: FNS increases food security and reduces hunger in partnership with cooperating organizations by providing children and low-income people access to food, a healthful diet, and nutrition education in a manner that supports American agriculture and inspires public confidence.

Food Stamp Program: The Food Stamp Program serves as the first line of defense against hunger. It enables low-income families to buy nutritious food with coupons and Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards.
